Do Droids Dream? (Prompts: dream & droid)
Title: Do Droids Dream?
Prompts: dream & droid
Author: Ultra (
ultra_fic)
Rating: G/K
Characters: C-3PO
Pairing: n/a
Star Wars Media Property: Original Trilogy & Prequel Trilogy
Word count: 100
Warnings/Spoilers: n/a
Summary: Droids are not supposed to dream.
Author Notes: Couldn’t resist combining the prompts! :)
Droids are not supposed to dream. The maker did not think it a necessary part of their functioning.
Threepio knows this, as he knows so many things, yet in this one thing, he doubts his own databanks.
Dreams come from a natural mind, capable of processes far beyond computerised systems, but Threepio has seen things, imagined things, surely dreamed things that he cannot quantify.
A young boy. A loving mother. A pretty girl. A kindly man.
A muddle of times, places, names and faces that cannot ever have been real.
Only a dream - what other explanation could there be?
