Inventory [Prompt 023A: General]

Title: Inventory
Prompt: General
Author: lumiosecity
Rating: Gen
Characters: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Pairing: N/A
Star Wars Media Property: The Clone Wars
Word count: 100
Warnings/Spoilers: No spoilers for anything ongoing.
Summary: Obi-Wan, the chain of command, and droning, inescapable busywork.

There are plenty of things no one tells you about being in a position of command, Obi-Wan reasons. Many of them are difficult truths, the sort of things that can only truly be learned through time, experience, and hardship.

Especially hardship.

Other lessons… are far less of a burden to carry, and infinitely infuriating despite their inconsequence in comparison to battle’s hardships.

Take inventory filing, for example. It should be simple busywork, and yet here he is, vision swimming as he leans back in his chair with a sigh. Too many numbers, too many sleepless nights, nowhere near enough caf.
