Lost In A Good Book (Prompts 007a and 007b: Book/Holocron)

Title: Lost In A Good Book
Prompt: Book and Holocron
Author: [personal profile] temve
Rating: G
Characters: Qui-Gon Jinn & Dooku
Star Wars Media Property: Prequels
Word count: 100
Summary: Padawan Jinn enjoys his homework, oddly enough.
Author Notes: Yes, this is very meta. Hello, writers' retreat!

Of course, they had all been transferred to holocrons in this day and age, even the oldest ones: the musings of long-deceased Masters of the Order, condensed into easily transported, easily copied containers of wisdom. And still, Master insisted on going to the sources and making him decipher the scratchings of long-dead beings on long-dead animal or plant matter.

And Qui-Gon couldn’t blame him.

Running his fingertips over the uneven pages, rubbing his brain up against the outdated language, gave him a whole new sense of what it meant to be writing.

He started his diary soon after. On paper.

Thank you for this double-prompt drabble. It's a tiny bite of perfection!

And the smell! Lovely little reminder of why the paper book is so wonderful ❤️

Ah, books. I never have understood how anyone can actually prefer e-books, but each to their own, I guess. Anywho, this is wonderful :)
