Summary: Anakin is invited to a festival celebrating a solar eclipse. It doesn't go well.
It’s necessary for him to be here, Anakin reminds himself, taking a deep breath. A Jedi’s presence at this festival is a blessing, a sign of good luck, and he was chosen to be the ambassador to such a momentous occasion for a reason.
Everything happens for a reason. He’s not in a position where he has to be front and center, anyway— he can just linger in the crowd, and everything will be fine.
Still… being here makes him feel uneasy, off-kilter, wrong.
There’s something about watching darkness blot out the sun that will never sit right with him.
