The inside of the senate building was imposing and almost dizzying to look around, intimidating in its sheer scale, and full of beings she had to convince to aid her people.
She refused to be overwhelmed by it. She showed nothing.
But her doubts and frustration grew as the proceedings slipped away from her.
They will not help. They can do nothing.
The voice that she had not yet learned would lead them all astray spoke quietly into her ear, confirming what she thought, and promising a solution. An easy way to get what she needed.
And Queen Amidala listened.
