Chopper rolled down the ship's ramp, checking for any sign of their mysterious new crew member. He didn't like how often Hera left him unmonitored on the Ghost while she went to meet with her Rebel contacts. Hera seemed to trust him, but Chopper wasn't there yet. Well, if she wasn't going to keep an eye on him, Chopper would simply have to.

He stopped as he spotted Kanan near the fuel intake valves. He was supposed to be fixing them, but the tools and mechanical parts scattered around made it clear the job was far from done.

Just as he was about to warble out a loud complaint, Chopper stopped himself. He'd finally noticed why Kanan wasn't still working.

The man was standing a few meters away, staring silently at the memorial statue the space port had erected to the fallen Clone Wars soldiers. Chopper glanced between the statue and the grief in Kanan's eyes. He thought about the pilot he'd served with during the war, and he understood.

With a disgruntled sigh, Chopper wheeled back around towards the Ghost. He still didn't trust Kanan, not yet, but he supposed he could leave the man alone just this once.
