The Ronin doesn’t dream.
Sleep is an endless, empty void, silent and still. The Force hasn’t graced him with a vision in years, and for that, he is grateful.
He knows what he would dream of, otherwise.
Red.
Oceans of it, arcing in blades, frozen in crystals, staining his hands.
No matter his efforts, he cannot wash away what he’s done. Atonement always slips through his fingers, remaining just out of reach.
No, the Ronin doesn’t dream.
If he did, he would dream of turning back the clock, of undoing his mistakes. But such a thing is impossible.
Isn’t it?
