Author Notes: I really like trying to get both prompts into one drabble - it's my own extra twist on the challenge already posed.


The smoke from the fire mixes with steam from the bubbling lakes of Dagobah, the swirls and hazy mists seeming to form pictures, memories that Yoda can never forget, but sometimes longs to, all the same.

A young man with promise and a good heart, corrupted by the dark side, and a young woman, only fourteen when she proudly took her senate seat, only a few years more when she bore their children and, just as soon, lost her life.

“But hope, there is,” he reminds himself with a sigh, staring into the smoke. “For now, all that there is.”
