The entire flight back to the farm, Luke's bad feeling only grew. With the smoke rising on the horizon, it intensified, and he knew without a doubt that he was too late.

Yet he hoped. He felt he could not, would not give up on his aunt and uncle until he could see the truth.

When he did see, there was grief, staring at the body so near the home. He felt a flash of anger in with the grief, but anger would get him nowhere.

All he could do was turn the speeder back to where Obi-Wan Kenobi waited.

I was telling my Discord, that was one of the scenes that stayed with me from the theatrical viewing, and it was often edited in the broadcast on TV when I was small.

Smoke, in context of SW, always brings it to mind.

Poor Luke! I like how you've foreshadowed his ability to quickly let go of his anger here. To me, this reminds me that it's not that he doesn't get angry, it's just that Beru (& Owen) raised him to be practical and he knows it'll get him nowhere.

YES!

Like Luke does get angry. He's impetuous and a little moody. But his anger? It is not Anakin's anger. It does not simmer and build and explode with catastrophe. He knows that he has to push himself to DO, long before Yoda tells him that, if he wants things done.

(Leia's anger is more like Anakin's, but it has been so tempered by Bail and Breha, that it is fuel to her long term planning, not impulsive decisions.)
