Some bounty hunters adopted animals throughout their travels. Of course, these weren’t, generally speaking, pets. They were working animals, trained to be just as effective killers as their owners, or at the very least, to warn the owner of threats or identify tracks that might have otherwise been missed.

So it was a strange thing to see a bounty hunter caring for a creature that couldn’t be of any use to them. But, sometimes, event such a merciless killer could open their heart to a scraggly little tooka, limping and blind in both eyes, and gain themselves a cherished companion.
